The buildings themselves are nice'ish........ but there's no greenery at all in the interior w/all that paved space for drive aisles. There is no reason that some of this parking, if not most of it, couldn't be underground on 2 levesl up against Kalar Road, and some adjustments to siting could allow for greenery between driveways, at least, for any parking that remains up top.

While I agree with your parking comment, there's no chance M5V would fork over the cost of underground parking here.

There are different ways to square the circle as it were.........

One would be to have a midrise form the street-edge of the development, 7 storeys should be enough to make underground parking economical.

Another choice here is to shift the parking from under the homes, to in front of them, and the consolidate 2-3 spaces in a row with a single high quality tree in google planted conditions between each of those blocks of parking;

Yet another take would be consolidate that parking in a single at-grade level under the homes, and allow a single central access point.

Finally, one might consolidate some of the surface parking at the rear of the site, but intermingle good quality tree planting every 3-4 spaces.
