Reminder that while the Cherry Street north bridges will be red the Cherry Street south and Commisioners bridges will be yellow and orange respectively.

 
And Cherry North is the smallest of the 4.

Crazy how something relatively small is going to become an instant Toronto landmark. Investing in beautiful infrastructure is the way to go. Canadian built is just the Cherry (St) on top.

Not entirely Canadian built - the double-curved steel is shaped in The Netherlands.

Would they really mount it on those concrete blocks? Seems to me those would be temporary and the bridge would rest on the "new" poured concrete below. Maybe the barge can't be lowered further to rest that far down and cranes will need to be used?
