From today Mavis and Winteron
Center of the top of the roof is open to air, that's why you see the HVAC. The big hole in the side is the room for the mass damper. The gap and rest of the twisting facade structure is built out with a steel frame. That would make sense.. but then why is the ventilation unit (or whatever it’s called) already installed? It also dosent explain the huge gap on the back end of the tower lol.. time will tell.
I always find it amazing how much weight/force that reinforced concrete can withstand! So apparently it is a tuned mass damper which acts like a pendulum. At 705 tonnes when completed, it will become the largest of its kind in Canada. So there you go. I learn something knew everyday!

Based on what I found on Google, it did say 705 metric tons but I have no real way of knowing if that is true.An amazing weight for the mass damper - works out to 1,410,000 pounds 705 tons, or 1,579,200 pounds for 705 tonnes. Or to put it another way, to the dry weight (no fuel or passengers) of approximately three and a half Boeing 747 air craft using short tons, or just over 3.8 Boeing 747's for if it is 705 long tonnes. @Tim MacDonald - would it be possible that there should be a decimal point somewhere in that figure?
For those who may not be aware - there are three different measures for 'tons' or 'tonnes' - explanation from the Encyclopedia Britannica:
"Ton, unit of weight in the avoirdupois system equal to 2,000 pounds (907.18 kg) in the United States (the short ton) and 2,240 pounds (1,016.05 kg) in Britain (the long ton). The metric ton used in most other countries is 1,000 kg, equivalent to 2,204.6 pounds avoirdupois."
From your photos steel beems have to be welded to the embeded plates in the wall once the rest of the equipment is in place to allow a false wall to be built for the missing sections of baloney.Even the baloney floors have a steel plate in them. From 4400m ground shot yesterday (above shot) to about 10m airborne shot today:

This mass damper system, if that is what this is, is a lot different than what went into M1 and M2.
I'll Bluesky some other shots later.
