From CCxA's instragam:

Across Cherry Street from Toronto's Distillery District is Canary Landing. An amazing opportunity with COBE Architects and Architects Alliance, as well as the Dream/Kilmer/Tricon development team, to create an extraordinary public realm with carefully curated materials, including these unique embossed brick pavers that form the textured carpets at the heart of the project's two courtyards

Loooove those brick pavers!

Took a walk brief around the Canary District before heading to the Aviary to watch game 5, it's probably been 6+ years since I've been down here specifically and I've been wanting to see this one in person. It definitely sets a new bar for Toronto. The buildings capture the late afternoon light beautifully and that red brick is so rich. I quite like the area in general, the high quality paving and midrise scale make it feel quite inviting to walk around, and while there's still a lot of grey (especially the Pan Am buildings), this is setting things right.
