I was walking by and finally noticed how the back-the Allied Music Centre component-looks so much like a black curtain. I love it.

Once in a while, we can do something really well in this city, despite itself.

The 'old girl' is looking real good! I just wish they could do something special with the pediment. The illumination highlights what seems to me a 'blank slate'...perhaps a modern art sculptural relief with a performing arts theme that echoes what was once there. The contrast between the old and new might look real sharp.

Less conspicuously incongruent, I saw Sarah Mclachlan perform here.........in.......uhhhh.........'92, I think.

Trying to remember all the other performers I've seen there, including a couple of stand up comics.

I confirm that it was 2004 indeed. I believe Godhead was the opening band.

Sad to hear of Chick Corea's passing last year.

I was at that show too. Now i wouldn't walk across the street to see him.

I saw Annie Lennox at Massey Hall in 2006. In between songs she actually talked about Massey Hall's beautiful architecture. I was happy to see one of my favorite artists showing some love to one of my fave buildings in the city.

I've seen many shows at Massey over the years, but probably the most peculiar one for me was a bunch of stars from The Young & the Restless doing a sing and dance thing for a few hours. If I had to guess, I'd say this was around 1990.
