^ Are the glass used here the same or similar to the ones used at MLS?

For some reason, I find these towers much more appealing than MLS.

IMO ... same type of glass ... but a more interesting pattern created with the window size combinations (staggered zig zag) ... and no spandrels here

I've noticed on the north tower that with various types of blinds and curtains now up the staggered window design is less apparent. It's still a great looking project and a much welcome addition to Bay Street.

I've noticed this too, however, this area has great sunsets because of the space over Queen's Park, and when the glass is reflecting in the evening the towers look stunning!

I think of these towers as the Olsen Twins - poster girls for architectural anorexia.

What about Casa and Spire? They're all gorgeously anorexic, which I think is only okay for buildings. These (four) buildings are so sleek and simple I don't even know why I love them. I think that's a hallmark of a smart architect; the ability to inspire awe in someone without them really knowing why.

Yes, I don't think anyone has ever successfully quantified beauty - the best we can do is to recognize it, celebrate it, and encourage those who produce it to create more of it.

I read somewhere that beauty is defined as Clewes and ugly is defined as cityplace.

I checked dictionary.com and, because of a typo, all I got was porn. Eitherway, there was a lot of cityplace and clewes to be found.

PeeEnd: You either see it or you don't, and who wouldn't want to understand how it's done when you do? There are enough designers banging off cheap trick greatest hits for the visual illiterate it's always a joy to encounter quality.
