Wow ! ! Talk about a futuristic looking harbourfront area. It's not my style but it's quite nice !

That striking curvilinear dock looks like a classic exercise in whimsical, blue-sky visioneering. I'd be very surprised if we ended up with something even remotely resembling that.

Value engineering says they'll end up with a sandy beach if they're lucky.

This project, at least as presented so far, seems to exist outside of reality. The render makes it look like this development is smack in the middle of Lakeview Park, but there's no way they'd allow this sort of large scale private development to run roughshod over a public park.

Furthermore Google pins 80 Harbour as a lot to the north east of the park off of the Oshawa harbour, hemmed in on one side by the McAsphalt facility, meaning that the waterfront portion would look nothing like what's presented. Nor do I think they'd be allowed to develop something like that in the harbour anyway. Very curious, and misleading.
