Just for fun: my girlfriend during my U of T undergrad years lived in the third floor apartment of the building (facade) being preserved here. I took this photo of Spadina Ave in 1999 (maybe 2000?) from that apartment’s kitchen window. You can see Graduate House was nearly finished construction.

Omg how crazy the city looks without all the tall buildings, awesome!
 
I was in my elementary school days when the U of T Graduate House building was built, and remember how neat it was. An enigmatic building for the city, but I can appreciate its oddball-ness with the exposed metal exterior cladding and the skybridge which goes nowhere that extends halfway over Harbord!
