The crown is glazed in with a walkable inside literally meant to be illuminated up there... dunno why they haven’t installed lights all the way around.

One bloor has been the tallest building in the neighborhood for 4 years and will be the tallest for another 2-3 years, no apartments facing the mechanical. I dont understand why city is not letting them light up the mechanical and if it causes light pollution just dim it but atleast light it up.
 
I don't think Toronto is against lighting generally or against lighting at One Bloor specifically. I think One Bloor is delaying or hasn't finished its lighting scheme for whatever reason. I'm sure it's coming soon.
