This morning, as the 505 bore its precious cargo of worker bees downtown, I noticed that the west side of the podium is being faced in grey "Four Seasons Centre" brick, rather than the red brick shown in the rendering. With 2 Ossington and Stage East Lofts adopting it as well, it appears to be quite the done thing these days.
 
I passed by this morning on my bicycle and didn't notice the brick. I'll have to take a closer look next time. As for grey brick becoming "the done thing", maybe. But I can't say I'm fond of it in the 2 Ossington rendering.
 
Well, I don't think the architects of that one are any great shakes really. Their website throws up very few examples worth looking at.
