This building looks so nice in the mornings when the sun hits it the right way while driving up York Street. Quality materials are noticeable even from a distance!

This building looks so much like modern, understated, high quality, bulky Japanese office architecture, and I love it!

Well, this one fits in with the cityscape here and doesn't detract at all from the vernacular, and it does show quality materials.

And one pic from across the street that probably belongs in the Shabby Public Realm thread........but since new streetscaping here is tied to this project......

Ahem:

The asphalt is obviously temporary, I assume the work was completed late in the season and any softscaping and brick work was deemed non-feasible, so it was covered to minimize tripping and prevent soil blowing away....

But....ya know.....there's this neat invention........called a calendar....... LOL

With all the plain glass boxes in Toronto, this one at least looks a bit less glass boxey with the sun on it, and lights on inside will hopefully help as well
