How much of the Go line corridor above ground section accounts for the overall length of the line in KM ?

Is the Ex portal outside of the station?
did some quick gmaps math. looks to be about 6/16km including both the GO corridor as well as the don valley crossing.
2.5 from don yard to carlaw portal and 3.5 from the minton portal to don mills

Could they not extend the line under the gardiner - do a stop at Parklawn/Queensway - one at Gardiner/Islington & then end at Sherway?
Fair but an easier move would be extending the Bloor line from Kipling an extra 1.5km to service Sherway and the go electrification should bring Parklawn a stop on the lakeshore line while the OL could loop up dufferin or Jane to take pressure off those busy bus routes

I recall seeing on drawings for one of the projects west of Kipling that had a future subway line indicated on their underground parking sections - it might have been Concert's KIP Phase 3.

edit: it was

There's a post on Reddit this evening suggesting that Metrolinx is trying to expropriate the Parliament Square condo building at 39 Parliament to facilitate the construction of the Ontario Line 😳

LOL!

As a Condo Manager I can tell you that would be an expensive can of worms.

There's a formal process under the Condominium Act for terminating Condominium Corporations. It's also very unlike expropriating single family homes.

I highly doubt they would expropriate a condo.

We've seen many examples though that suggest that Metrolinx's legal department sets new highs in incompetency. While they may not succeed - they may well try! :)

Indeed.

On the bright side, depending on the age of the Condo.. if they did succeed the Owners could get a hefty payout from the condo Corp itself

It sure is nice that the ancient world is packed with metros passing under thousand year old historical sites, and Metrostinks can't build anything without leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. If you gave their mandate to an office temp with a bad attitude you'd get better results.
