A new pier for the pedestrian bridge is in place. With no apparent obstacles in its path, the next bridge could be hoisted any day now.

The old north set of stairs from tunnel to track level has been closed also.

That must be the second longest bridge on the GO network, right? Only beaten by the one at Pickering?

Someone remind me, this bridge is temporary while they build the proper station? Or until a new tunnel is built?

Until the new station opens. The tunnel extension (not yet open) and new bridge will provide double the capacity until then.

Exhibition Station - Final Early Works Report:
There will be tunnel access throughout, albeit from varying north portals, as an accessible option. The bridge will provide relief of congestion in the tunnel passage.

Demolition has started on the GO ticket booth along with removal of billboards & demolition of Atlantic Ave buildings (west side)

Lots of progress on the new west-bound GO tracks and platform. According to a worker on site, the station (or maybe just west bound service) will close next Friday and reopen with the new platform and tracks the following Monday.

The tracks arent even laid yet. how do they plan to do that?

Lots of track is laid. Have another look at the photos (#4/14, 9, 10, and 11). There are still sections to go where it's just track ballast (#6, 7 and 8) and through where people get from Atlantic Ave/tunnel to get to the current platform, but that will be done during the weekend closure.
