I think they just had the crane there temporarily to build the parking garage for the next phase after Palais (which they aren't even selling yet). The masterplan has one final 30 storey tower beside Palais that will be attached to the podium with shared amenities.

yup ... I'm guessing it is going to be marketed as Palaris 2, the grand finale at Port Royal Place or something ~

Today: ECC still eagerly awaits quality architecture.

Tower 2 was built to grade level only and will take 30 months to built it once they find enough buyers.

wow, I like the colors a lot here - reminds me of a project in SCC.

I think they're terribly bland and conservative - no wow factor, no pizazz, no sex appeal...in other words, very much reflective of Etobicoke :p

This tower must be close to topping out.

I think many of these new projects in Etobicoke City Centre are a nice step up in quality from what had been there previously. No they arent cutting edge sexy but I think they look quite decent... especially like the pic looking across the railway underpass, the way this building is on an angle to the road makes it quite attractive.

Like I mentioned above, I love this! The colors on the tower and base contrast each other really well. Anyone who just quickly writes this off, in my books, falls into the 'glass glass and more glass' group.

I don't about you Guys but I think all the buildings Pemberton have put on this location are terrible and resemble the 70s appartment slabs in the Toronto areas with cheap glass. The Reantal appartment across the street with dark glasses are way miles better than Pembertons so called condos. Their Mississauga projects are all cheap as well....

^Exactly. The rental buildings are by far the best buildings on this block. The Pemberton buildings are actually getting worse instead of better. Some of their earlier buildings here at least had some decent brick work.

Agreed - ECC is a total wasteland when it comes to decent architecture, both old and new. I'm sure the final phase of this project will be equally lousy.

This was the norm a couple of years ago, but I wonder, do the people who design and build these soulless mediocrities hang their heads in shame when they see renders of Exhibit, Theatre Park, Mondial, Five etc.?
