hmm ... the rendering made it look as if the bottom portion would be black ... not great ...


Actually they may stick to that, its just show black precast looking panels ...
 
It's going to be brick for sure, just look at the way the sheetrock has been prepared. Odd that they put in the windows before the brick, but I'm sure there's a reason

Toronto is grey! People want the reminder of our dull grey winters to fill ever crack of their waking days until the beautiful grey of winter returns.

Is it Torontonians or developers that want everything grey?

I would say developers because I don't think grey is anybody's favourite colour. It's the kind of colour that few love but also that few hate. It's the new beige. (bland as hell and way over used) I only started to hate it when it became ubiquitous in Toronto. Developers are such followers and lack any backbone at all. Once one jumped on the grey spandrel bandwagon, they all seemed to follow like lemmings. It's just unfortunate that Toronto's mass development seemed to happen at the worst time. I guess it could be worse, we could have no development at all.
