August 10, 2022. Steady progress. Third floor forming taking shape at the north end of the building. Soon will be possible to take decent progress pictures from our balcony.

Concrete pumping system being installed for the new Portland Commons building.

(A side note - when the initial consultation coordination conference call was held with area residents a couple of years ago, the question of whether a concrete pump system would be deployed due to the noise factor from operation of the pump, and Ellis-Don informed those on the call that there would not be a pump - all concrete would be via bucket lifts from the cranes. Presumably, as times change, the economics of different construction methods evolve, and plans are modified accordingly. The charitable interpretation...)
