As said many people to Jane Jacobs as she rallied against things that would diminish this city. Park proponents are pushing (against powerful interest groups) for a project that would be transformative for Toronto. And you don't speak for the City. Park advocates aren't bothering the City; they're bothering you and those interest groups.
There's next to no chance Toronto will build Rail Deck Park but painting its advocates negatively is ridiculous. They're people who want this city to do better. You don't have to agree with their position but I'd be more worried/concerned if there were no citizens in this city who cared.
