We see so many proposals to build "villages" of mid-rise and high-rise buildings with interesting tower designs and a high-quality public realm. But they're often slow to be built, with development slow to start and then spanning decades.
Regent Park looks like a community where they actually built the "village" that was shown in the renderings to a significant extent. That's not to say that Regent Park was exceptionally fast. It has taken about two decades so far, and it isn't done yet. But it's great to see things come together with strong execution of the ambitious original plan (both in terms of the built form and the public realm).
