Grey background, Grey building... really not a fan

Also seem like there aren't a lot of big or wall to ceiling windows in this building as well?

I'm aware that there was a building code change that requires more walls for insulation purposes, guess I won't be seeing corner units with expansive wrap around wall to ceiling windows anymore.

If builders want to pop for more expensive (and better insulating) curtain wall, or a window wall-curtain wall hybrid, they can still go for more glass. You'll see some other buildings going up currently where the builder is spending some extra coin on higher quality glazing (like 411 Church), but in this case, this is a TCHC building, so they are not spending money on frills here. We're lucky we're getting any design gestures on this building at all.

The sad part is that every building that has been constructed as part of the RP Revitalization until this one has been relatively decent. This one has been so far off the mark.

It is. But both buildings are terrible.

I think it's an interesting design, though not without problems. The shifting colour of the facade and the shifting volumes are relatively unique design features. There are a lot of problems like the sheer amount of lines along the facade in the mullions. The shade of grey chosen for the colour shifting effect isn't that attractive. But I would say that it gives Regent Park the diversity and character that's painfully missing from Concord's sterile monoliths at Park Place on Sheppard at Leslie. Those towers are worse than this one from an architectural perspective.

I'm not in agreement. That one's not beautiful, but it has a funky quality to, a little Space Age swagger, copying the angles of that era.

The brick patterning is detailed, and the building adds warm colour to its block.

does add a few warm dashes at townhouse level, but the rest of the blue accents on the gray just adds up to cold on cold for me. Plus this one is a million-mullion monster, and they look like cages to me.
