Thanks! I will have to go back to The Queensway as it has been about a year. Is there streetlife developing?
Then - the curves were inside. Now the curves are outside.Hard to believe this solid building replaced a shady strip club...
...almost sprayed my monitor with the contents of my glass of water when reading that. Then - the curves were inside. Now the curves are outside.
The Mesopotamians probably lined those step-backs with gardens, whereas we prefer concrete. The Mesopotamians would have been so proud of our affinity towards ziggurat construction!
hopefully a cute restaurant or coffee shopSadly the retail component of 121 queensway is still just one big empty room encased in 4 walls of glass...the space has been leased but no action yet. The only indicator species of "cool" and "vibrant" that have made the Queensway home recently is Hardien Pattiserie, and Mojo Cafe. The Queensway is still a noisy, polluted stroad. Some stretches are quite hostile to pedestrians, and cycling is a death wish. The design language screams "drive as fast as you can get away with until you hit the next light". It doesn't help that it runs parallel to the gardiner.
