On Richmond Street, River City can be seen from quite far away.

I said it earlier, but these buildings look like something you would see in the newer districts of Copenhagen. Very impressed.

Having visited Copenhagen a few months ago, I have to say that this is much more urban than Ørestad, which is probably the most similar area in terms of the scale of redevelopment. The architecture there is top notch (particularly BIG's contributions), but there is no human scale. The spaces between the buildings are vast and wind-swept, there's barely any retail, and it's too isolated to walk to or from the city centre. Here in the West Don Lands the neighbourhood scale feels right, and while the buildings other than River City are a bit plain, the development is integrated into the fabric of the city, which counts for a lot. Once the trees have grown for a few seasons, I expect that these areas will feel even more walkable.

TL;DR: River City isn't just as good as something you'd see in Copenhagen -- I'd go so far as to say that it's actually better than the comparable stuff they're building there.

One of the best projects built in a very long time. There's next to nothing to complain about. I wish we'd see more creativity and quality like this in the Entertainment District. We don't need any more towers like Bisha.

It's beautiful. Simply, beautiful. Gotta give Urban Capital credit too. I'm sure there aren't too many builders that would OK this design.
