I was at the site today and got an image from the south end which isn’t really informative as it is a concrete runway! lol 😂
But one observation is that the YZD Experience Centre will provide a southern anchor/entry point to the festival area that is next to the venue. Also the events at the Rogers Stadium won’t be the only large events as Veld etc is held at Downsview Park.

It sounds like calling the development a "stadium" will be reaching. I suspect we'll see bare bones facilities with bleachers, tents and temporary structures.

I assume they likely wouldn't start assembling the stands and stage until some time well into spring, depending on how many weeks it will require before the first event. I would guess some of it, including the temporary stage, would probably be taken down before winter and re-assembled each year, since it can be removed during the summer for acts to have their own stage built.
It looks like it might be put where the old runways crossed, so all or most of it on top of concrete.

Edit: "Will Rogers Stadium be ready in time for Oasis? Why nine months may be enough to build Toronto’s new 50,000-capacity concert venue"

Though much smaller, the Pan-Am Games beach volleyball venue in the BMO Field parking lot at Exhibition Place in 2015 was a Toronto example of a temporary stadium.

There is an article in The Star about just this topic by I can’t access it.

Temporary? So this "stadium" isn't a permanent thing? Or is this a fill-in for what they're actually going to build here?

The development will be phased in, possibly over 25 years. The runway (where the stadium will be) is planned to be a continuous pedestrian corridor with mixed use development on both sides. 2032-2051 is the current plan for development of the Runway.

They're developing some other sections first.
