2012 Toronto saw the Four Seasons Hotel built in Yorkville. Psychologically, it massively enlarged what we thought of as downtown. We've been filling the stretch between it and the historic CBD ever since to create a more seamless dense swath.
Now we're seeing the same thing happening east to the Don River. Highrises/midrises popped up in Regents Park, Corktown, and the Canary District. There's lots of infill being built between these places and the historic CBD. ROQ is one of those buildings that will help stitch it all together.
