So, the folks at 192 Jarvis just can't seem to catch a break, being sandwiched between 2 towering construction projects to the north and south of it. It'll be interesting to see if there's an exodus from 192 Jarvis, a lot of people paid 350k back in the late 80's for their units and now they couldn't give them away with the sky-high fees and non-stop special assessments they've been forced to pay. Too bad, because those units have fantastic layouts and balconies.

No way, the 2 bed/2 bath units were in the $160-$170K range in the mid 90's, we looked into this building when we were looking to buy our first condo.

This is even more reason to keep bike lanes on Jarvis.

A great addition to the skyline, neighbourhood, and the university.

This unlike the UofT College street student dorm seems to be getting no heat from the locals

I wonder why planning staff have identified height and density as being issues of concern here. This isn't a predominately low-rise area (in fact there are already a couple of highrises on that stretch) and it doesn't harbour a particularly unique or interesting character. Given the scale of proposals that we typically see in similar areas, 27 storeys is surprisingly short. Plus it's just a stone's throw from Jarvis & Yonge where Pace was approved at 42 storeys. Is it just a matter of standard practice to preliminarily list height and density as a concern?

Pace is this buildings literal neighbour, and it dwarfs it.

Evidently, which is a shame. Not to go off on my usual soap box, but I wish planning staff would put much more emphasis on site plan and how these buildings interact with the street. Unfortunately, it's much easier to regulate height and density.
