I've seen some photos of a full-scale mock-up. Frame is composed of angled semi-transparent, orange glass capped by a light grey profile at the point which is kinda like a modified "c"-channel. Basically very similar to the images as rendered.
Yes, coloured panels of some sort are coming. Has nobody noticed that some things take a while to happen sometimes, and occur not on our schedules but on theirs?
You said you have seen some photos of a mock up, I am not saying this will not happen but there is often not much connection between renderings and mock ups and the final product.
I'll say this: there's more connection between renderings and final product than there is between impatient UrbanToronto members and final product. Sure, sometimes details like materials change, but if you're virtually selling the building by featuring striking window frames in the renderings, then you build them. You can swap out smaller elements and not have people notice, but not signature ones.
Besides, what do people think all these posts are for but to hold the fins in place?
Yeah I think it's quite obvious that there are many pieces of facade missing. As 42 said, you can't just sweep such a striking feature under the carpet...and if they do it's still not to say that this is the final product.
It has been fun reading all these comments over the last 3 years. I don’t want you guys fighting so I will fill you guys in. The orange appliqué is coming. We erected the overhead protection for that reason. The outriggers are no longer being utilized as we had to make changes to the appliqué and the new design will not require it. The appliqué is still orange and we will start on King St and work our way around.
I want to thank you all for putting up with us for the last few years and wish you guys all the best and hope you enjoy the final result.

Looks very attractive. I wonder how long it will be before some pork head in an SUV rakes the wall with their bumper. They would be well advised to install or erect something to protect it. Something easy to replace.
