It's official! Construction has officially started!

We received notice from our property manager that construction has officially started on this tower. Excavation and bracing/shoring up retaining walls will be the first priority with the rest of construction stages to follow.

I'm excited. Stay tuned for more details...

I'm a bit concerned about how long that sidewalk will be closed. We walk to Shoppers etc all the time, and with that closed, we have to walk from P1 on St Albans up Aukland, which is an unwalkable street with a stroller.

The bus I ride always passes by this site.....I'm interested in this project, but I have no expectations for this building.
The only interesting thing about this building will be the grocery store that will be at the podium. Asides from that, don't bother looking up you wont be missing much.

I fully know....I'm just interested in what this tower could do for the site compared to the previous buildings on site.

Based on the scale of the retail space and the sample pictures provided, what grocery chain/store would fit into the estimated square footage seen in the sample drawings provided to the public and media.

Are we talking Rabba in scale or are we talking like Metro (Park Lawn rd & Lake Shore Blvd West) in comparable scale? There's a big difference between Rabba square footage and Metro square footage.

Thanks

It's Metrosized, not Rabbasized.

Finally some real activity on the site. Shoring work has been going on for the past 2-3 days.
