Temporary wayfinding has been installed from West Harbour, down James, to the Coliseum. Nothing from Hamilton Centre station that I saw.

"Finally, a new four-sided digital scoreboard will be arriving in time for the Toronto Rock’s home opener on Dec. 13. DeLuco says it can be raised to the rafters to be out of the way for concerts and lowered into place for games."

Nice. It doesn't need to be on the same level as what NHL arenas have, but it definitely needs to be more modern.

Some photos from inside the bowl as they prep for Paul McCartney.

The black seats look great. Happy to see they kept the warm-toned lighting for the upper bowl, it looks slick. Kind of shocked they are keeping the hockey boards up for now, but I guess they are used as a barrier to separate zones.

I haven’t seen any photos of the concourses yet but will post when I see them pop up.

Seems like a majority of the food options will be payed via kiosks or will have AI systems which will require you to tap your payment method before entering where you can pick what you want and leave.

Something else to note, it appears that at the current moment, the floor suites won't be covered with extra seating during sporting events, so there will be quite the gap during those events, as I don't imagine floor suites would work well for events like hockey and lacrosse, especially with glass boards in the way. I can see it maybe working for basketball.

I do wonder if they will try and figure out a way to cover the floor suites with extra seats in the future. They can easily fit a couple hundred more seats if they add temporary/moveable seats, like are seen at the ends of the arena.

I've read a bunch of reviews and it sounds like the concert was a huge success and would have been a great thing to attend.

There were a bunch of very consistent complaints. It sounds like the big miss so far is congestion and traffic flow and long lines within the arena, which is what the full new concourse on the street level and the partial concourse on the basement level were advertised as alleviating. It sounds like most people hung around on the main level, where the bulk of the concessions are. Apparently, the (main? upper? both?) concourse(s) was inaccessible in the sector behind the stage and that helped impede traffic flow --- this might not be a new thing for concerts. There were also lots of complaints about the size of the seats and even the build of the seats, as well as complaints about the time it took for car traffic to disperse and for people to get home.

Pretty disheartening to hear this given that the most exciting part of the reno to me was really the new concourses and additional space. Maybe they crammed too much new stuff in? Maybe it will get better once everyone adjusts to the new setup?
