It's great to see this project above grade level. It looks like it is about to start on the second floor. Shouldn't be long to top out. For many years this was my nearest Beer Store location and the last I checked the plan is for the Beer Store to go into the ground floor retail although I recall some opposition to that plan from the local Cabbage town homeowners. Conceivably the new Beer Store could be ready to open by late summer fingers crossed. This will save me from having to walk all the way to Parliament. I wonder if any other retail is envisioned for the ground floor?
EDIT: I just answered my question. I see from earlier posts this information:
"During the meeting, a representative from Rosewater Group stated that the The Beer Store is intended to remain as the principal retail tenant. Of the proposed 7,700 ft² of proposed retail space, The Beer Store would ultimately determine how big or small of a space to take on, with the retailer planning an up-market "Beer Boutique" (a concept that currently exists in Liberty Village and is planned at Avenue & Park). The space would be accessed at the corner of Gerrard and Ontario streets. Dependent on the Beer Boutique's size, additional retail spaces could be provided, with entrances along the Gerrard Street frontage"
So, it looks like the Beer Store will be accessed from the corner of Ontario and Gerrard and it is planned as an up market "Beer Boutique". Depending upon how much space the Beer Store decides to take it looks like there will be more retail fronting on Gerrard! Exciting stuff!
