They were hefting a portable office onto the podium when I noticed they’d started installing windows on the tower already. I swear, they’re gonna top off and be enclosed before Cherry House sees a resident. Difference between affordable rental and for profit projects I guess. View attachment 595253View attachment 595254
cherry house is still a for profit project

I guess that’s necessary to test it, but with recent temperatures I wouldn’t be surprised if some workers dip a toe at least.

was also wondering if the Distillery will grace the eventual residents of Goode with free passes to the Xmas market. They are outside the security perimeter, tho likely will be effected by all the typical issues. They might even have to widen that questionably effective “residents only” car cordon to lakeshore. Add on resident input from Cherry house and it’ll be sure to get interesting.

Wonder the rate of speed in which they’ll continue work on the east podium while the tower reaches stupid heights. They’ll have it sealed and bricked before New Years, but would they go whole hog on units?

I wish they would throw another 5 stories on this and call it a day. Goode and the other two towers planned already broke the rules for the historical triangle shirtwaist whatever district had in regards to height. We’re totally gonna get massing above the subway on King, got plenty of towers on East Bayfront. This was just greed pushed thru by well meaning, ill-thought out yimbys. My two cents anyhow
