I cant believe how eager developers are to butcher such a naturally beautiful area by designing such atrocious garbage. At this rate, the area around High Park is going to be lined with horrid developments that we can show off to tourists far and wide!

Project to be known as "The Howard" by Hub Harcroft Developments:

High Park’s newest address inspired by Canada’s first professional architect and philanthropist John George Howard.

Mr. Howard designed many of Toronto’s most prominent buildings in the 19th Century but left his most enduring mark by donating the 400 acres that now form Toronto’s High Park.

In a similar sentiment, we aim to leave a lasting impression with The Howard – 54 expertly crafted homes over eight storeys offering a diverse collection of custom condominium residences.

An 8-storey mixed-use building with proposed office and retail on the ground and second floors, and 43 residential units above was approved in 2016. A Site Plan was approved in March 2018. City Planning staff advise that a number of outstanding issues remain on this site that need to be addressed before construction starts.

Hard to imagine any complaints with this low-rise proposal... but no doubt there will be anyway. It's a perfect site for this. The registration website is now open.
