The King Edward Residences, with access to hotel amenities, will feature gourmet kitchens with traditional or contemporary cabinetry and stone countertops and backsplashes, pre-finished engineered hardwood flooring, smooth ceilings, ten-foot ceilings in principal rooms, deep window sills, and balconies, terraces, or Juliet balconies depending on suite layout. Finishes are available in three distinct packages.

The King Edward Private Residences have been very well-received with 95% of suites sold. The few remaining suites range in size from 328 to 519 square feet and are priced from $329,900 to $564,900. The Presentation Centre is located at 37 King St East. Construction is expected this fall.

Any updates??

They appear to be working away inside and there is scaffolding outside along Leader Lane. They are also intending to redo the King Street sidewalk from Leader Lane to Scott Street before winter.

You can see plastic covering all the lower windows so I assume work is progressing. New condo 88 Scott will be going in on the left hand side of the pic.

Their reno seems to be taking AGES. maybe the new ownership will speed things up - they have had scaffo9lding outside for 2+ years. Are the condos actually occupied?

As per the Globe and Mail article above, the last paragraph states "The transition will not disrupt any services for the 125 people living in the three floors that WERE converted to condominiums. Omni plans to keep the current managerial and employee structure at the hotel."

I'm suspicious of anyone living there. Its dark every time I walk by. Skyline bit off more than it could chew?

Preparing for exterior work on the older half of the building:
This is the second time they have had scaffolding up on the west side of the building. It is one of the slowest projects I have seen. (Though 1 King West also has external work happening and it too is covered in scaffolding, something one might have expected to have done BEFORE condo owners moved in.

Agreed, very slow.

All the scaffolding in the above 5 pictures is now gone and the King Street entrance has re-opened. They are now working on the south and west side of the building. Also complete are some renovations inside to the restaurant and front desk area.
