Actually, I'm impressed by those wooden arched trusses--a vivid reminder of the wartime/postwar era of steel shortages and innovations in wood construction...

Drove by late last night - no action to report. No equipment no excavation no construction offices. Just a lonely porta John.

Anyone have information on the status of this project? Has it gone bust or been caught up in red tape?

I have a soft spot for this neighborhood,. and was looking forward to seeing a good end result...

The architecture is borg-like and heavy-handed on the spandrel execution, but overall expected considering the proponents involved. I'm generally fine with the massing and it does contribute density in a somewhat under-developed area. My biggest issue remains with the apparent discolouration on the black cladding material on the lower half of the building though, which they haven't quite fully addressed yet.

@AlbertC Your biggest issue is getting worse, not better!
