Incorrect. The LCBO is going in the mezzanine. Check the drawings. @ChesterCopperpot has hinted at this ad infinitum.
Agree 100%. It would be nice if people stopped taking the Michelin Guide as gospel. Gauging a city based on how many stars a rubber company in France has decided to bestow is a little nauseating.
So it's no different than some social media influencers threatening to leave bad reviews if the restaurants don't comp their meals, except in Michelin's case the restaurants give the reviewers money instead of comping the meals. There, fixed it for you.
EDIT: The Michelin Guide is quite honestly, just an alternative advertising method. They may have started out with good motivations, but at this point they are well aware of their ability to make-or-break and use that to their advantage. It's damn near extortion in some cases.
Michelin Korea stars-for-bribe claim: chef files legal case
Yun Kyoung-suk alleges she was told paying bribes and covering costs of visit to Korea by Michelin ‘inspectors’ would see her restaurant listed in Seoul Michelin guide. Michelin threatens to counter-sue chef.www.scmp.com
The Michelin Guide has over a hundred and twenty years of history behind it, global reach and certainly far more weight than a social media personality. The latter are just modern day versions of newspaper reviewers, rarely relevant or noticed outside of their home city (let alone country). So it's no different than some social media influencers threatening to leave bad reviews if the restaurants don't comp their meals, except in Michelin's case the restaurants give the reviewers money instead of comping the meals.
I was referring to the link you sent. If the allegation is true, that's a black mark on Michelin and if the practice (bribery) is widespread, in my eyes they're no better than the influencers, regardless of their illustrious and long history. The Michelin Guide has over a hundred and twenty years of history behind it, global reach and certainly far more weight than a social media personality. Noma isn’t known worldwide because of visitors, social media reviews or location. It’s because of Michelin.
I didn't care before and I dont care now. You both claim you don't care but have exchanged a dozen messages about Michelin. Let them fade or take it elsewhere please.I’ve tried a few Michelin rated restaurants. Most of the time I’ve walked out a tad disappointed.
Maybe The One could become the podium of a megatall! It's less than 50% taller than the demolished 270 Park Avenue.
In 70 years, when this tower interior layout is dated and low capacity at a prime intersection, there's a good chance it'll get a facadectomy.
They did a pour this morning, not as much as you folks were hoping for though.
