If you want to make an accusation, then you back it up with evidence. Otherwise you're trolling, and you're gone.

I don't know anything about Mizrahi's character... except he did knock down Stollery's while its heritage designation was pending... so that's kinda scum baggy behaviour (reminiscent of one world-famous real-estate "scumbag" who knocked down the Bonwit Teller sculptures.

To Forum Admin:

Can we please have a vote on whether to allow the discussion on Mizrahi's personal integrity to continue in this "Projects & Construction Thread" in the "Buildings" forum? Let those who are interested in proving wrongdoing in the Stollery's demolition take it to the courts... Let those who are interested in digging up dirt in Mizrahi's past for fun take it to a gossip column... And please let this UrbanToronto forum stick to what it was purposed to be...

Thank you.

One thing that's not in the front page story: the press release now calls this an 85-storey building. There's not claim of any more metres added to the top though, so I am wondering if it's a rejigging of the floors above the podium, and am waiting for new elevations before we change the numbers in the database file. (With fewer double-height podium floors now, maybe three of them have been converted to six regular-height floors?) Hopefully I have confirmation on that tomorrow.

Here’s a interview posted by TalkCondo on Oct. 3 with Eric Kuzuian, sales manager for The One. Toward the end of the interview, he mentions the 3 storey penthouses start at level 82. The rooftop gardens at the very top of the building are privately owned by the 4 penthouse units, which he says are on the 86th level. 85/86 storeys confirmed?

The only other tidbit that was confirmed are 416 units and 8 elevators reserved for the residential portion (no mention of private elevators).

I vote allow it, but with respect and fairness to all parties involved. It’s worthwhile and healthy to question the integrity of the proponents of this project seeing as though it will be blanketing one of the busiest intersections in the country with construction, traffic, noise, etc for a decade to come. The disruption to the people of this area and the city as a whole will be enormous.

That's not your vote, that's your suggestion.

It's not "discussion" when someone idly slanders someone else without any evidence, and it certainly has no relevance in regards to "construction, traffic, noise, etc." What nonsense. Like they say, put up or shut up: any unsupported accusations will be removed.

Totally disagree - spreading unfounded allegations and gossip isn't "worthwhile and healthy discussion"

I think you make a great point. Assuming you truly meant what you typed here, may I ask what you are doing in real life to vet his "integrity" and ensure that there will be no "disruption"? Unless, of course, you just enjoy talking about people behind their backs using a pseudonym on an architecture/urban design forum?

If the 3 storey penthouses start at level 82, wouldn't they occupy levels 82-84, and the rooftop would be level 85? Maybe that's why the press release said 85, although it should really be 84 (we don't usually include rooftops in floor counts).

Wow, looks like The One will be taller than expected.
