Yea the difference is one is competent and the others isn't. CIBC also happens to be 3x the scope and complexity. I hope I helped you.
And completely different cost and profit drivers. CIBC's path to profitability is to get it done ASAP. The One is to finish with low construction costs.

The One is behind, but CIBC is literally the only project that has moved at the speed it has. It's financing structure and economic drivers are fundamentally unique.

No-one should forget what @got it right is willfully ignoring (and therefore is this close to being considered a troll), that no other building in Toronto has anything close to the 32 mega-caissons drilled 30 metres deep into the rock below that this one has to hold it up. The wilful ignorance is becoming insufferable.

Hey now - he's "forgotten more than you'll ever know about development and construction and sometimes people on this site need an education so I educate"

Those ground level shots by Benito with the worker in the foreground are tremendous. Gives us a great sense of the depth and complexity of this excavation, the immense scale, and the symphony of synchronization required. I think that in the end, The One will be a feat of engineering and coordination that all of Toronto can be proud of.

I really hope someone's documenting this on the ground. It'll make an excellent Extreme Engineering episode one day.
