Speaking of layers, I prefer this term much more than the often misspelled "storeys" and the contentious "floors" (1. is there a 13th floor?, 2. why is the first floor the ground floor when it's not dirty? 3. When travelling in Europe why do I have to go up to the first floor to get to my second floor hotel room? etc.).

I assume one could define "building scientist" as an engineer, structural or otherwise.

...and there's lots of things that go over my head. Still trying to figure out fettuccine/pasta business a few pages back. Everyone on the planet seemed to get that but me.
