Corner section!!!! But it looks very grey? Not gold at all.
Yep, there's a whole set of small sections of wrap all over it. I'm curious as anyone on how this will look, but in any case, seeing the curtainwal going up is exciting unto itself.

Well, my in-jest installation prediction was incorrect, which is exciting! Perhaps they’ll remove the wrap on New Years 😉. Unless, of course, that is the real colour, in which case I’m moving to Alberta. I mean, we saw photos of the actual materials in previews, there was a front page story... there’s no way that’s the final colour.

So, the lobbying continues for The One's height increase; I'm intrigued to note that the communication this month has been almost entirely with the Mayor's office. No evidence of any communication to the new Councillor or their office. (of course this is only one lobbyist)

🤔

Edit to add: I think I'll just share the file on this one:

I mean, given the recent changes, Council is a powerless joke. Of course they're just going to try and win over Tory with his anti-democratic powers. I'm sure building homes for the ultra-wealthy is 100% a "provincial priority"

I have a feeling the final cladding layer is still to come. When you look at the rendering - the corner cladding pieces are bigger than what has been installed. It's supposed to be one piece from the corner to the column and they've installed little nubs for each side of the corner.

Toronto: we should have more independence from the province!
Ontario: here's a strong mayor.
Toronto: not like that!

Uhhh, I know you enjoy being contrarian..........

But a mayor who can override the will of 2/3 of Council doesn't actually give any increase in independence from the province at all, not one iota. What it provides is authoritarianism, period, full-stop.

Jesus, way to miss the point. Literally no one asked for this as a solution to Doug overriding council whenever he wanted. And Doug can still override Tory whenever he wants! There is no independence granted by these powers. If anything, they make the mayor even more beholden to the province. Your argument is nonsensical trolling. Do better.
