This is so fascinating.

I guess they don't have to remove the machinery? The site is so large that they'll be able to climb up the ramps as they're built.

I don't know about that (driving machines up the ramps) but maybe. The truck ramp up from P4 is a 12% grade and rated for trucks including garbage trucks and tractor-trailers, so maybe.
 
Was not expecting it to be out of the ground already- it'll be interesting seeing how the surrounding streets change in feeling.

As impressive as all this construction below grade is (and it is truly impressive!), it's going to reach another level altogether -- no pun intended -- once it emerges above grade. It'll be like nothing that's been built in Toronto in my lifetime in terms of scale and complexity.
