How could the installers have been so clueless about putting half the windows in backwards? Is there that little professionalism in the construction trades in this city?
That gold box should've been done in sleek monolithic curtain wall and possibly another floor or two more.
It would have been a small investment to do that and would have been a beautiful gold nugget set within a respectful tower. It just looks really gimmicky, regardless of the installation mistake.
Those are the most dramatic shots we've had of how far the gold box projects from the exterior. Now we just have to look forward to them get the swing stages out, and getting the mis-installed gold glass panels reversed so that they get a consistent look across them. I assume they've just been waiting do to any and all exterior touch ups when initial cladding installation is complete.
There was just a jet of water spraying out from one of the upper floors of a building in Yorkville, looked like it was this one (or in the vicinity of it anyway). Anybody know why that would be? Maybe a broken pipe? It looked like the kind of jet of water that would come out of a fireboat...
