The first cladding appears. It doesn't look great. So very gray.

At least it's a lighter gray (but yeah, it's gray), and at least there are no waist-height mullions: the floor-to-ceiling windows definitely lessen the pain of window wall.

The tower is now clearly rising above the base of the building. Other things I noticed; a lot of block being laid on the first floor and the parking lot beside the building was closed for renovation.

So I went on some of the Canadian window wall manufacturers' websites just to look at their product lineups. Do you know what I found out? And I swear to you: this is true. One hundred percent unadulterated honest truth. They offer spandrel in colors other than grey! Can you imagine? Cheerful colors, elegant colors, bright colors, stylish colors... All sorts of colors! But no, here in Toronto, we can have it in any color we'd like, as long as it's grey. We are a northern city, after all. Greys go well with all the dirty snowy slush on the ground in the winter...
