Whatever merits wood (timber) have vs concrete/steel construction, speed is certainly not one of them judging from the progress of this project .
Speed is actually one of the merits of mass timber, it's just certainly not highlighted here.

It took a crew of less than ten people, 9.5 weeks to assemble this 18-storey student residence at UBC, using only a crane and a couple mallets (the elevator cores (shear walls) were preconstructed of concrete).

I wonder why it’s taking so long here
 
This building has a large cantilever at 4th level which is complex. Maybe that is the reason?
