I think the Canary District is far from perfect. But those buildings do have much more variety of materials, lots of masonry, and more (smaller) storefronts. Up close, there is a big difference.

Signage is up in the windows of the retail spaces - a Scotiabank and Balzacs are opening.
I believe Balzacs will be the first non-bank or convenience store retail tenant in the VMC.

There are two banks and a convenience store in the KPMG building I believe.

The new Walmart and YMCA are going to be a great addition to the neighbourhood! We are excited to see the Walmart is on schedule to open in October!
