Mod Developments ain't playing!
Beautiful heritage restoration, balconies underside painted black, bringing YMCA and retail
Great for the neighbourhood
More projects like these!
Significant credit should also be directed at CreateTO for design direction and site planning prior to selling the site to Mod Developments.

You know, I've passed this building more than a dozen times over the years, but really only remember peceiving the podium level which does have some of that old-school industrial vibe of the area.

That really bad, what do you even call it......faux 19thC French motif on the upper levels is such a jarring non-sequitur.

I don't have the hate on for revisiting historical styles that some do; but that is one very poor attempt and completely misplaced.

I didn't mean to be snarky -- I was just surprised because I think it's so much nicer than anything else on that particular stretch of Richmond. Is there any particular way you feel it doesn't fit? The glassiness of the YMCA floors? The height/bulk?
The glassiness imo. It's just too "shiny" if you will to fit in with Richmond.
