the heritage incorporation is nice to see but the new building on top clashes pretty heavily with the old imo. you'd think they would have used a similar color palette
Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion but this here is a rare example of an architecturally sound, if not wonderful, incorporation of an existing facade with a new multipurpose building.

While I agree a bit that the condo is a little heavy compared to the heritage portion, I think once it’s completed and more lively with the condo, park, food hall and YMCA it’s going to feel right.

I think it's going to look a lot better once all of the other similarly scaled projects in the area go up (Rush, 123 Portland, 543 Richmond, 135 Portland) and

What unit numbers in the building have been sold for subsidized housing for artists? I’m assuming all facing North?
Would it matter particularly? If it's painters getting any of the 15 units, typically they want more diffused northern light if they're going to be working in the units… but because of the 16.5° angle that Toronto is off of north, north facing units actually get a lot of sun late in the day in the summer… so there's no side in town that always gets the diffused light.

I think I vaguely remember when I bought my unit that they said the artist units were distributed randomly, not in one concentrated area. I'll try and find out.
