Interesting to now see a corridor forming on Yonge. The layered density is really starting to change the character of this strip.

I think layered density is the most important part- giving towers a bit of a setback (behind podiums, historic facades) creates a wider view corridor and makes the city feel larger.

Absolutely, yeah. I agree. And there's not much room for that here in Toronto, actually.

Totally agreed. Unfortunately, that’s not what yonge street will eventually look like with the rise of tea house condos, clover and to a lesser extent, halo.

Likely so since there's not much room to develop behind the heritage streetfronts.

It's crazy to think that First Canadian Place is only slighly shorter than its Chicago sibling, the Aon Center- yet that building always feels far more monumental because of its visual prominence (you can see its entire height from base to top from farther away).
 
Is the roof/top portion (south side) of Five Condos supposed to look like this (i.e. incomplete)? :mad:

My OCD is flaring up.
