Nice. I was at Yonge/Wellesley the other day and you can now feel the presence of this at the intersection. It'll loom quite...urbanly...?...when it's done.

The driveway also services residents of the building next door, who will still need access to the garage entrance (visible at the top of that image). I think earlier renderings showed half of the driveway being removed and a roundabout being installed.
 
Too bad about the driveway. That looks much less impressive than the earlier renders I've seen. I was hopeful that this park could be beautiful like Berczy Park. Is there any possibility of adding a fountain? The designers should emphasize seating along areas where pedestrian flow is greatest because people primarily want to watch other people. Relationship to Wellesley St should be emphasized more, and the street should be visible from most parts of the park by building grassy hills and rocks where people can sit and see all the action.

Right, sorry, I should have phrased my question better. I, as well, thought that the park plan was to have a roundabout instead of this suburban-minded drive way. It seems like such a waste of valuable space, and doesn't really achieve its intended purpose as a 'classy' access to the apartments garage, but to each their own. I suppose the owners in these buildings think it's valuable, or they think it might have some value and are therefore reluctant to let it go, despite it being archaic and so out of place in the downtown core.
