Zoning By- Law Amendment application includes the following: the rentetion/upgrade of the existing Blue Goose Tavern for a restaurant use and residential use (18 studio dwelling units on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels); and the redevelopment of the remainder of the site for a total of 13 new residential units (2 single detached dwelling units, a pair of semi-detached dwelling units and 9 townhouse dwelling units). On November 15, 2016 Etobicoke York Community Council adopted the request to include The Blue Goose Tavern on the City of Toronto's Heritage Register (refer to Item EY18.46).

Neighbours will probably not be happy to see new development facing onto their backyards.

That being said, I think a cozy little space could be created, especially around the restored tavern.
 
Admittedly, I've never heard of this place before. But upon reviewing the plans and area, it's nice to see they are retaining and upgrading the tavern for restaurant use. Has good potential here.
 
I like the use of crayon. What happened to the GO tunnel entrance that was supposed to come through there for Mimico station?
 
Metrolinx is still in the design stage with its Mimico station re-do.

It's locally famous.

No idea why the developers wouldn't name this 'The Blue Goose' — that's far more evocative than 'The Mimico', when that word is generic in the area, being used so many ways in other places already.

This is brilliant, especially if station access finally gets built on this side of the tracks. Finally I'll be able to stop off for a pint before getting on a train to Niagara or Hamilton or wherever the hell I always end up.
