Yukon Striker would attract roller coaster enthusiasts from all around the world. Wonderland can rival sister park Cedar Point in terms of record-breaking coasters.

The Frontier Canada section is long overdue and it's finally coming!

Cedar Fair brings many of Taft's unrealized ideas to life (and it's not just Frontier Canada, but a hotel as well).

I'm loving the fact there is only one drop. Other dives lose so much momentum after the drop/immelmen since it stops you to do a smaller version of the same trick you just did.
This actually has a layout that doesn't let up on speed til near the end. And that final helix plus whatever theming they have is going to be epic for pictures.
Mark my word by the end of next season you will see as many selfies of that helix in the background as people using Wonder Mountain.

Agreed. The helix might not be the most thrilling end for the ride, but I love the way it frames the space below it. Yukon Striker interacts with the park much more than Behemoth or Leviathan, so I'm sure there's going to be some really awesome photo opportunities.

The general public will love the helix circling above a pathway.

Enthusiasts, not as much.

However, Wonderland is primarily targeted to the general public, despite having some coasters for enthusiasts (Yukon Striker being one of them). Cedar Point is a better theme park for enthusiasts, though Wonderland consistently has higher attendance (though this year, Cedar Point would get close to Wonderland's numbers thanks to Steel Vengeance).

Well I'm overhearing from some people close to the park that it won't be another 6 years for a new major coaster.

If it was let's say 2 years away for CW's 40th anniversary aligning up with a brand new hotel.... they would have a impressive top 5 (5 being Vortex) then there will definitely be more of an enthusiast appreciation for the park, potentially top 3 in Cedar Fair.

But I believe CW is a much more well rounded park than others. Best and most flats, two great kids areas, great family attractions as well as decent theming for a CF park and generally good food/shops/shows.

Let's say that next coaster will be a RMC of Minebuster, the first out and back woodie to be converted.... then all of the sudden they will change their opinion entirely.

The rumour was we were supposed to get Valravn in 2016. In the future I'd rather see an RMC of Wild Beast with Speed City Raceway being removed to add extra space.

Same. I love Minebuster and would love to see them make it even better, but Wild Beast needs the upgrade way more.

If you buy a 2019 season pass by tomorrow it includes the rest of 2018.

Looking forward to trying this ride out next year.

I was going to buy a pass this weekend but Thursday I twisted my leg and dislocated a kneecap.I hope I can get there before the end of the season.
It's a shame because I had to cancel my plans next weekend for Cedar Point and Kings Island. Oh well, there's always next year.

At least Steel Vengeance will be less crowded next year than this year, since it would lose a little of its novelty.

Based on YouTube videos, I've seen that the station track plus turn out of the station is installed. They should be installing the pre-lift section today and then vertical construction on the lift hill is due to start tomorrow and conclude by Labour Day.
