I can confirm that Walmart is officially out of the picture. A new retail partner will likely be announced towards the end of the year.

Back in the day Wal-Mart and Target were actually fighting over this site. So as soon as Target was out of the Canadian landscape, Wal-mart completely lost interest?
Having Wal-Mart here would have been hella convenient. Especially with the No Frills now closed down the street (and possibly never to return).

Walmart quietly resigned a lease here last year and opened in May, finally filling the vacancy on the upper floor retail space they left to Trinity and RioCan years ago.

Well that's surprising, I wonder why the reversal especially since they mentioned that they abandoned the Urban Concept years ago.
