I scanned the “design†of all my TTC Metropasses from 2007 through 2014, including some weeklies and the obverses of some years’ passes when the design or wording obviously changed. For most of that time, the design was attributed to Kal Bedder, who ostensibly doesn’t work at the TTC anymore.

Interesting to see! You can see the photo/artwork portion getting smaller over the years. A trend that continues even further on the January 2015 pass.

Got to say they look incredibly (and increasingly) ugly in general, par the course with graphics design at the TTC.

The weekly pass is the only one that has really improved. It used to be such a mess of typefaces but now it's reasonably tidy:

The 2015 pass is not awful. I strongly dislike some of the typefaces used however.
